A pre-race sample was taken from Terrace.
Perfect Hours and Time Bandit were quick to begin. Sorry Maurie and Eagleeye Norris were slow to begin. Viewing was checked off Ding Bale on the first turn. Eagleeye Norris was checked off Terrace entering the back straight. Sorry Maurie and Eagleeye Norris raced wide approaching the home turn. Sorry Maurie and Eagleeye Norris collided on the home turn.
Eagleeye Norris was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured back muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Time Bandit - winner of the event.
Stewards directed that Ms. L. Repici present the greyhound Sorry Maurie to the Cranbourne meeting on 07/03/17 for vetting after she left the course without Stewards permission.
