Mr. J. Harrington, the trainer of Daintree King declared a new weight of 32.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Daintree King last raced at 31.0kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Daintree King.
Daintree King and Rylies Jack were slow to begin. Rylies Jack and One More Des collided soon after the start. Rylies Jack, One More Des and Max Roxy collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. In Like Flint and Mystic Powers collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. In Like Flint, Rylies Jack and One More Des collided approaching the home turn. In Like Flint and Max Roxy collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
One More Des was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a cut on the right hind pad, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
