Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Boloney Club.
Showtime Chevi was slow to begin. Cruisen Billy and Uncool Albert collided soon after the start, checking Boloney Club. Little Arandt, Little Mix and Cruisen Billy collided approaching the first turn, checking Little Mix and severely checking Cruisen Billy. Little Arandt faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result. Show Bag Carter and Little Arandt raced wide on the home turn.
Little Arandt was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tarsal (hock) fracture to the right hind leg. A 90-day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Allen Ichiro trialled over the 400m from box 2, weight 32.6kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.61, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2L. Allen Ichiro was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Phillip Thomson, the trainer of Barcia's Fate regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Barcia's Fate last raced on 28th April, 2016. Mr Thomson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right stopper bone injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Barcia's Fate trialled over the 400m from box 3, weight 33.5kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.61, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10L. Barcia's Fate was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Mahlo Hero trialled over the 400m from box 7, weight 24.7kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.61, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10L. Mahlo Hero was not cleared.

Stewards noted that Fipa Narchi's foot was caught in the muzzle at box rise. Fipa Narchi was vetted follow the event it was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right front metacarpal. No stand down period was imposed.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Wayne Vassallo, the trainer of It's A Plane, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. It's A Plane last raced on 20th December 2016. Mr Vassallo stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after having a back left toe removed. Pursuant to GAR 77A, It's A Plane trialled over the 460m from box 1, weight 36.4kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of four. The time of the trial was 25.95, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6L. It's A Plane was cleared.
