Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV heat policy, the kennel temperatures were recorded, 18.3.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Shovan, the trainer of Steamy Unplugged regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Steamy Unplugged last raced on the 19th October, 2016. Mr. Shovan stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after recovering from multiple injuries. Mr. D. Shovan, trainer of Steamy Unplugged declared a new weight of 25.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Steamy Unplugged last raced at 26.9kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Winlock Wrighty.
Steamy Unplugged and Winlock Wrighty were quick to begin. Stetson Elsa, All Inn Johnson and Daintree Prinz were slow to begin. Whipstock Indi and Winlock Donatelo collided soon after the start. Stetson Elsa and All Inn Johnson collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Winlock Donatelo galloped on the heels of Whipstock Indo approaching the first turn. Daintree Prinz galloped on the heels of All Inn Johnson approaching the first turn. Steamy Unplugged and All Inn Johnson collided on the first turn. Stetson Elsa and Daintree Prinz collided approaching the home turn, checking Stetson Elsa. Stetson Elsa raced wide in the home straight.
