Shazza's Gift was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right elbow and left side of the tail base, as well as spike wounds to the left hind leg, a fourteen day stand down period was imposed.

The green light on the boxes failed to function at the start of this race, the start was correct and the light was checked and working post race.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Shovan, the trainer of Steamy Unplugged regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Steamy Unplugged last raced on the 19th October, 2016. Mr. Shovan stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after recovering from multiple injuries. Mr. D. Shovan, trainer of Steamy Unplugged declared a new weight of 25.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Steamy Unplugged last raced at 26.9kg.

Masked Belle was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the thoraco-lumbar region and right back muscle, a twenty-one day stand down period was imposed. 

Steward's noted that the muzzle of Bloke's Advice became dislodged during the running of this event.
