Steward's Report
Kiyoshi was quick to begin. Horey's Girl was slow to begin. Kingsley Boy, Cosmic Wish and Old Zebb collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds. Kiyoshi and Barnie's Blaster collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Cosmic Wish contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Horey's Girl checked off Kiyoshi in the home straight, checking Barnie's Blaster.
Meeting Comments:
Stewards spoke to Mr. S Humphries, Trainer of Hollywood Nights, regarding his removal of the greyhound from the kennels without Stewards permission at the Healesville Greyhound Racing Association meeting conducted on 26th February, 2017. After hearing evidence from Mr. Humphries stewards charged him with a breach of GAR42(2). Mr. Humphries pleaded guilty to the charge. Stewards found Mr. Humphries guilty and fined him the sum of $150 wholly suspended for 12 months pending no further similar breaches
Stewards spoke to Mr. S Humphries, the trainer of the greyhound Hollywood Nights which competed at the Healesville Greyhound Racing Association meeting conducted 26th February, 2017 regarding the greyhounds racing manners at soon after the start. Hollywood Nights was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Hollywood Nights with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Humphries pleaded guilty to the charge, Hollywood Nights was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
