Uncle Bump and Merl's Blaze were slow to begin. Who's Irod and Evil Currency collided soon after the start, checking Who's Irod. Who's Irod and Uncle Bump collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Why Not Will and Zonah's Dream collided on the first turn, checking Zonah's Dream. Mahlo Hero eased approaching the home turn. Why Not Will galloped on the heels of Merl's Blaze approaching the home turn, checking Mahlo Hero. Evil Currency and Why Not Will collided on the home turn, checking Evil Currency and Zonah's Dream. Furious Trump galloped on the heels of Evil Currency approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Uncle Bump and Mahlo Hero collided in the home straight. Zonah's Dream raced wide in the home straight. 

Mahlo Hero was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Tanti, the trainer of the greyhound Mahlo Hero regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Mahlo Hero with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Tanti pleaded guilty to the charge, Mahlo Hero was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

All Inn Houston and Bound Again collided soon after the start. Rival Scar, Twist and Black Star Alert collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn, checking Rival Scar. Rival Scar, All Inn Houston and Bound Again collided on the first turn, checking All Inn Houston. All Inn Tara, Twist and Black Star Alert collided on the first turn, checking Twist, Black Star Alert and Eagleeye Norris. Rival Scar and Bound Again collided on the first turn. Black Star Alert and Twist collided approaching the home turn.

Zelemar Zing was a late scratching at 7:59PM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury to the right fore toe. A three day stand down period was imposed.

Red Jacket and Azza were slow to begin. Red Jacket, Azza, Petentim and Our Spirit collided approaching the first turn, checking Azza, Petentim and Our Spirit. Red Jacket and She's Lil collided on the first turn, severely checking both greyhounds. Petentim and Our Spirit collided on the first turn. Red Jacket and Our Spirit collided several times on the home turn.

She's Lil was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sprain to the right wrist, a twenty-one day stand down period was imposed.

Blue Marmion was quick to begin. Good Wick was slow to begin. Hector Cabang and Taxi Jack collided approaching the first turn. Scott Dynamism and Clovalley Mauri collided approaching the first turn. Hector Cabang and Blue Marmion collided on the first turn, checking Blue Marmion. Taxi Jack checked off Blue Marmion and collided with Clovalley Mauri approaching the home turn, checking Clovalley Mauri. Hector Cabang and Blue Marmion collided in the home straight.

Cosmic Don and Heartbreak Mary collided approaching the first turn, checking Cosmic Don. Just Run Left and Waikiki Creek collided approaching the first turn, checking Just Run Left. Cosmic Don and Waikiki Creek collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Sisco Mama and Gotta Cheer Up collided approaching the home turn. See Him Run was slow to begin. Who Told Lindylu and Duff Bale collided soon after the start, checking See Him Run and Who Told Lindylu. Implosion Liam crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Emio Bale, Duff Bale and Pocket Kings. Emio Bale, Sally Gardens and Before My Time collided on the first turn, checking Sally Gardens. Who Told Lindylu, Emio Bale and Before My Time collided on the first turn, checking Sally Gardens. Ms. S Quinlan, trainer of Johnny Jaffa declared a new weight of 31.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Johnny Jaffa last raced at 32.4kgs.

Lena's Entity was quick to begin. Blonde Yappa, Johnny Jaffa and Clear Sense collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Blonde Yappa and Johnny Jaffa. Thor's Crest contacted the running rail and collided with Patchie Kaye on the first turn. Thor's Crest and Patchie Kaye collided approaching the home turn, checking Blonde Yappa and Thor's Crest. 

Coopnarcha, Mystic Marlow, Chief Brit, Pop Wright and Uncool Albert collided approaching the first turn, checking Coopnarcha, Chief Brit, Uncool Albert and Horey's Pal, and severely checking Mystic Marlow. Horey's Pal, Uncool Albert and Chief Brit collided on the first turn. Mystic Marlow raced wide in the home straight. 

Kiyoshi was quick to begin. Horey's Girl was slow to begin. Kingsley Boy, Cosmic Wish and Old Zebb collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds. Kiyoshi and Barnie's Blaster collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Cosmic Wish contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Horey's Girl checked off Kiyoshi in the home straight, checking Barnie's Blaster. 

Meeting Comments: 

Stewards spoke to Mr. S Humphries, Trainer of Hollywood Nights, regarding his removal of the greyhound from the kennels without Stewards permission at the Healesville Greyhound Racing Association meeting conducted on 26th February, 2017. After hearing evidence from Mr. Humphries stewards charged him with a breach of GAR42(2). Mr. Humphries pleaded guilty to the charge. Stewards found Mr. Humphries guilty and fined him the sum of $150 wholly suspended for 12 months pending no further similar breaches 

Stewards spoke to Mr. S Humphries, the trainer of the greyhound Hollywood Nights which competed at the Healesville Greyhound Racing Association meeting conducted 26th February, 2017 regarding the greyhounds racing manners at soon after the start.  Hollywood Nights was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Hollywood Nights with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Humphries pleaded guilty to the charge, Hollywood Nights was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.
