Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr I.Green, the trainer of Riverdale Sugar regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Riverdale Sugar last raced on 24 November 2016. Mr Green stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being seasonal.
Stewards spoke to Ms V.Watson, the trainer of Remembering Rod regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Remembering Rod last raced on 19 September 2016. Ms Watson stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennel.
Vulcan Salute was slow to begin. Remembering Rod, Fabriola Allen and Riverdale Sugar collided soon after the start, checking Vulcan Salute. Roger Express and Fabriola Allen collided approaching the first turn, checking Roger Express. Remembering Rod checked off Riverdale Sugar on the first turn. Galo's Best checked off the heels of Winston Cruise approaching the home turn, and stumbled as a result.
Galo's Best was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
