Nachos Gracias, Try Me and Lady Hook were slow to begin.  Nachos Gracias and Aston Sprite collided approaching the first turn.  About To Cry crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Aston Sprite.  Zeva Diva, Running Shadow and Topsy Turvy collided on the first turn checking Zeva Diva, Running Shadow and Try Me.  Zeva Diva, Running Shadow and Try Me collided in the back straight checking Running Shadow and Try Me.  Nachos Gracias and Lady Hook collided on the second turn checking Lady Hook and severely checking Nachos Gracias.  Running Shadow galloped on the heels of Nachos Gracias on the second turn checking Running Shadow and severely checking Nachos Gracias;  Nachos Gracias stumbled and lost considerable ground and checked Zeva Diva as a result.

Nachos Gracias was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Lady Hook was vetted following the event after suffering a fit in the catching pen.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Mifsud, the trainer of Lady Hook regarding the incident in the catching pen.  Stewards informed Mrs. Mifsud that stewards will closely moniter Lady Hook in future events.

Cooler Colour and Daintree Puzzle were slow to begin.  Scarlet Black, Cosmic Shiraz and Sandy Monelli collided approaching the first turn.  Scarlet Black, Cosmic Shiraz, Sandy Monelli and Sweet Rhonda collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Shiraz and severely checking Cooler Colour and Daintree Puzzle. Scarlet Black and Sandy Monelli collided in the back straight checking Sandy Monelli.  Lakeview Miss galloped on the heels of Blue Mayhem on the second turn checking Lakeview Miss, Blue Mayhem, Cosmic Shiraz and Sandy Monelli.  Blue Mayhem and Sandy Monelli collided on the second turn checking Sandy Monelli.  Cooler Colour galloped on the heels of Cosmic Shiraz approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Sweet Rhonda raced wide in the home straight.

Dromore's Pearl and Lead Into Demise were quick to begin.  Zatmine was slow to begin.  Memphis Dream and Lakeview Harley collided soon after the start.  Lakeview Harley and Zatmine collided approaching the first turn.  Memphis Dream and Lakeview Harley collided on the first turn.  Lakeview Harley and Zatmine raced wide approaching the second turn.  Photon Jewel faltered on the second turn and tailed off as a result.  Marciarno Miss raced wide in the back straight.

Bold Desert was quick to begin.  Willowvale Wings was slow to begin.  Dana Archie and Roll 'Em Sharky collided on the first turn.  Cosmic Missile, Three Day Shadow and Ripped collided on the first turn checking Ripped.  Cosmic Missile checked off Three Day Shadow approaching the second turn and raced wide as a result.  Roll 'Em Sharky and Ripped collided on the third turn checking Roll 'Em Sharky.  Bold Desert and Dana Archie collided approaching the home turn.  Dana Archie checked off Bold Desert on the home turn.  Bold Desert eased on the home turn and collided with Three Day Shadow; Three Day Shadow was checked as a result.  Dana Archie checked off Bold Desert entering the home straight and collided with Willowvale Wings.  Bold Desert eased in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Douch, the trainer of the greyhound Bold Desert regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight.  Bold Desert was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its right hind leg.  No stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Bold Desert with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Douch pleaded guilty to the charge.  Bold Desert was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Anberlin was quick to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Willowvale Pearl and Tina Two.  Anberlin and Sweet About Lola collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Tina Two raced wide on the first turn.  April Rose faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result.  Panic Station and Apollo's Twin collided on the third turn.  Sweet About Lola and Apollo's Twin collided entering the home straight.

April Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right and left back muscles.  A 30 day stand down period was imposed.

Zelemar Zonk was quick to begin.  Renee Boucheau, Tiger Whelan, Cruiser's Sol and Stumble were slow to begin.  Bob's Gift and Enchanted Lass collided on the first turn checking Bob's Gift.  Tiger Whelan and Alexanderia collided on the first turn checking Tiger Whelan, Alexanderia, Cruiser's Sol and Stumble; Cruiser's Sol and Stumble raced wide as a result.  Renee Boucheau and Tiger Whelan collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Stumble raced wide on the home turn.

Fabstar was quick to begin.  Dr. Valhalla and Oriental Lord were slow to begin.  Bigbad Fiji, Ivy Lane and Runnin' On Gas collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Ivy Lane raced wide on the second turn.  Runnin' On Gas raced wide on the second turn and again on the home turn.

Runnin' On Gas was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right wrist.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Ripped was quick to begin.  Ninja Zorro was slow to begin.  Paua Invader, Raven Lord and Aston Zeus collided approaching the first turn checking Paua Invader and Raven Lord.  Paua Invader checked off Aston Zeus on the first turn checking Ninja Zorro.  Paua Invader and Ninja Zorro collided on the second turn.  Aston Zeus and Aston Philou collided on the second turn checking Aston Zeus.  Ninja Zorro clipped the heels of Paua Invader on the second turn.

My Superstar was quick to begin.  Da Mishka, Miss Mathieson, Puzzle And Me and Hot Blooded were slow to begin.  Da Mishka and Cool Boots collided on the first turn.  Cool Boots galloped on the heels of Audacious Sprite on the first turn checking Cool Boots and Buckle Up Nikki and causing Audacious Sprite, Miss Mathieson, Puzzle And Me and Hot Blooded  to fall.

Audacious Sprite was vetted followin the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its right metatarsal.  No stand down period was imposed.

Miss Mathieson was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its right eye and left leg below its hock.  No stand down period was imposed.

Puzzle And Me was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration above its metacarpus.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Hot Blooded was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions above its left eye and injuries to its right dorsal lumbar section and left hock.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial

Dr. Nicholas trialled over the 315 metre distance from box 3, weight 32.1kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.37. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of nose.  Dr. Nicholas was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Bailey, the trainer of Select Shadow regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Select Shadow last raced on 17th May 2015.  Mr. Bailey stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Select Shadow trialled over the 315 metre distance from box 1, weight 30.3kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.37  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.5 lengths.  Select Shadow was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Bailey, the trainer of Select Seaspray regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Select Shadow last raced on 12th July 2015.  Mr. Bailey stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after illness.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Select Seaspray trialled over the 315 metre distance from box 5, weight 34.8kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.37  The greyhound won by a margin of a nose.  Select Seaspray was cleared.
