Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr J Collins, the trainer of Bar King Buddy, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bar King Buddy last raced on 23 August 2016. Mr Collins stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following injuries to both stopper bone ligaments.
A pre-race sample was taken from Djays Larry.
Allen Xander checked off Bar King Buddy soon after the start. Djays Larry and Allen Xander collided soon after the start. Hillbilly Bubba faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off. Call Me Waylan and Allen Xander collided approaching the first turn. Allen Xander checked off Bar King Buddy on the first turn. Maximum Moo and Bar King Buddy collided on the first turn, causing Bar King Buddy to stumble and checking Call Me Waylan and Allen Xander. Bar King Buddy and Djays Larry collided approaching the home turn. Bar King Buddy and Call Me Waylan collided on the home turn.
Bar King Buddy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left foreleg monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Hillbilly Bubba was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg back muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
