A pre-race sample was taken from Allen Jeer.
Take That Banksy and Stelio Kontos were quick to begin. Sokyo and Allen Jeer were slow to begin. Sokyo faltered approaching the first turn, lost considerable ground and tailed off. Take That Banksy and Howie Bale collided on the first turn, checking Take That Banksy. Smokester checked off Allen Jeer on the first turn. Selynya Flash raced wide on the home turn. Smokester checked off Take That Banksy in the home straight.
Sokyo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right hindleg back muscle and quadricep injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
