Heroic Outlaw and Lonesome George were slow to begin. Runaway Jack checked off Khimki approaching the first turn. Vee Power and Boof's Banjo collided on the first turn checking Boof's Banjo and Heroic Outlaw. Heroic Outlaw crossed to the outside entering the home straight.

Runaway Jack was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness in the left monkey muscle and the right wrist. A stand down priod of 3 days was imposed.

Kraken Lil was slow to begin. Rapid Mission, Barby Que and Jamba Lad collided soon after the start checking Barby Que. Highfield Bones and Roman's Legend collided entering the back straight checking Highfield Bones, Roman's Legend and Winlock Macy. Twist and Jamba Lad collided on the second turn. Rapid Mission checked off Kraken Lil on the second turn. Rapid Mission and Winlock Macy collided approaching the home turn. Barby Que checked off Rapid Mission approaching the home turn. Kraken Lil checked off Jamba Lad entering the home straight causing Kraken Lil and Roman's Legend to collide. 

Winlock Macy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained mild sand toe to right hind foot. No stand down period was given.

Ollie Agira was slow to begin. Leaf Spring, Waikiki Creek and Bundy Princess collided soon after the start checking  Waikiki Creek and Leaf Spring. Bundy Princess and Team Son collided approaching the first turn checking Tayla's Banjo and Leaf Spring and severely checking Bundy Princess. Team Son and Winlock Bird collided on the first turn severely checking Team Son, Winlock Bird, Leaf Spring and Waikiki Creek. Waikiki Creek, Bundy Princess and Team Son collided approaching the home turn.

Awesome Freckles and Phoebe Allen were quick to begin. Why Not George, Patty's Prince and Windsor Reign were slow to begin. Why Not George raced wide entering the back straight checking Carlanna Casey which lost ground, Windsor Reign raced wide as a result. Why Not George checked off Phoebe Allen approaching the home turn checking Windsor Reign. Rival Scar and Keno Bale collided entering the home straight. Patty's Prince and Awesome Freckles collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Denarau upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Old Zebb and Big Roman were slow to begin. Denarau, Foxy Whip and Yorgi collided soon after the start checking Yorgi. Morta Bella and Princess Strike collided soon after the start. Denarau, Yorgi and Morta Bella collided approaching the first turn. Big Roman raced wide on the first turn. Princess Strike eased on the second turn and lost ground. Denarau checked off Morta Bella in the back straight. Denarau and Morta Bella collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Denarau and Big Bold Boomer collided entering the home straight.

Princess Strike was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both monkey muscles and the left triangle. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Russell, the trainer of the greyhound Princess Strike regarding the greyhounds racing manners on second.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Princess Strike with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Russell pleaded guilty to the charge, Princess Strike was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. G. Gledhill, trainer of Tophat And Tails declared a new weight of 29.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tophat And Tails last raced at 30.8kg.

Lloyd Christmas was slow to begin. Fiery Universe and Brahma's Pride collided on the first turn. Lady Isabella checked off Fiery Universe in the back straight checking Kilty's Tiger. Fiery Universe and Brahma's Pride collided in the back straight. Calen checked off Brahma's Pride approaching the home turn. Lloyd Christmas faltered on the home turn and collided with Lady Isabella, Lloyd Christmas tailed off as a result.

Lloyd Christmas was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock fracture. A stand down period of 90 days was imposed.

Cindy's Zafonic was quick to begin. Wise Harry crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking General Romulus and severely checking Irish Asteria. Irish Asteria checked off Emio Bale on the second turn. General Romulus checked off La Flair on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Jackson, the owner of Kamchatka Lass regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Kamchatka Lass last raced on 16th November 2016. Ms. Jackson stated that  the greyhound was returning to racing from being  on season and injury.

Kamchatka Lass and Roman Blue Jay were quick to begin. Minca Man was slow to begin. Arctic Blaze, Roman Blue Jay and Calvin Candie collided on the first turn checking Roman Blue Jay, Calvin Candie, Hector Cabang and Taxi Jack. Calvin Candie and Roman Blue Jay collided approaching the home turn checking Roman Blue Jay. Kamchatka Lass and Arctic Blaze raced wide in the home straight.

Roman Blue Jay was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left wrist. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Glamorous Cheech was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
