In accordance with the GRV heat policy, the kennel temperatures were recorded, 19.0 degrees.
Kraken Lil was slow to begin. Rapid Mission, Barby Que and Jamba Lad collided soon after the start checking Barby Que. Highfield Bones and Roman's Legend collided entering the back straight checking Highfield Bones, Roman's Legend and Winlock Macy. Twist and Jamba Lad collided on the second turn. Rapid Mission checked off Kraken Lil on the second turn. Rapid Mission and Winlock Macy collided approaching the home turn. Barby Que checked off Rapid Mission approaching the home turn. Kraken Lil checked off Jamba Lad entering the home straight causing Kraken Lil and Roman's Legend to collide.
Winlock Macy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained mild sand toe to right hind foot. No stand down period was given.
