Destini Baritone and Bedlum were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Destini Baritone, Bedlum and Gold Rush Dozer. Chrissy Pee, Patchie Kaye and Laniakea collided soon after the start. Patchie Kaye and Laniakea collided at the 250 metre mark checking Laniakea. Bedlum and Laniakea collided at the 200 metre mark checking both greyhounds. Chrissy Pee checked off Little Written at the 100 metre mark. Destini Baritone and Gold Rush Dozer collided approaching the winning post.
