Steward's Report
Bushman's Bar and It Is Done were slow to begin and collided approaching the 300 metre mark. Dr. Condor and Sammi Jay collided at the 300 metre mark and again approaching the 200 metre mark checking Sammi Jay. Bushman's Bar and It Is Done collided at the 200 metre mark checking both greyhounds. Lara's Lament eased at the 100 metre mark.
Lara's Lament was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Lowe, the representative of the greyhound Lara's Lament regarding the greyhound's racing manners at the 100 metre mark. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Lara's Lament with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Lowe pleaded not guilty to the charge. Lara's Lament was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
