Steward's Report
This meeting was deemed heat affected. At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 30.8 and the kennel temperature 19.0
William Cabang was a late scratching at 6:31pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to elevated temperature. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Gotta Cheer Up was slow to begin. Proven Brave was slow to begin and took no competitive part in the event. Exit Strategy and Firey Lomar collided soon after the start. Firey Lomar and Crackerjack Ken collided approaching the first turn checking Crackerjack Ken. Gotta Cheer Up and Bellachino collided on the first turn.
Proven Brave was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Miss T. Pakusch, Trainer of Proven Brave. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Proven Brave with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Miss Pakush pleaded guilty to the charge, Proven Brave was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted
