Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr G.Robinson, the trainer of Good Wick regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Good Wick last raced on 21st November, 2016. Mr Robinson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a left stopper injury. . Mr Robinson declared a new weight of 34.8 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Good Wick last raced at 33.1kg.
Stewards spoke to Mr R.Gray, the trainer of Memphis Victorem regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Memphis Victorem last raced on 4th September, 2016. Mr Gray stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a split webbing injury.
Arctic Blaze was very slow to begin (3.5 lengths). On Billy's Wings, Good Wick, Meehan Blue and Memphis Victorem collided soon after the start checking Good Wick. Another Spritely crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Meehan Blue, Memphis Victorem and Firey Chieftain. On Billy's Wings galloped on the heels of Firey Chieftain approaching the first turn. In It Together, On Billy's Wings, Firey Chieftain and Another Spritely collided on the first turn checking On Billy's Wings, severely checking In It Together and Fiery Chieftain. Arctic Blaze and Memphis Victorem collided approaching the home turn. Memphis Victorem galloped on the heels of Arctic Blaze on the home turn.
