Dezie Fields stumbled soon after the start and lost ground as a result. Take The Weight crossed to the rails approaching the first turn checking Modern Silk, Super Spanner and Allen Gritz. Allen Gritz checked off Super Spanner on the first turn checking Sarsaparilla and Viking Two. Viking Two checked off Allen Gritz approaching the home turn. Dezie Fields and Viking Two collided several times in the home straight.
Dezie Fields was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
