Wattle Bee was slow to begin.
Fast Red checked off Katie Merry on the first turn. Double Jeopardy and Fast Red collided several times entering the back straight. Lektra Fly, Wattle Bee and Katie Merry collided on the second turn checking Katie Merry, Lektra Fly and Beautiful Noise. Fast Red checked off Double Jeopardy approaching the home turn. Fast Red and Double Jeopardy collided on the home turn.
Fast Red was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both triceps and spike wounds to the left hind foot. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
