Steward's Report
Proven Will was slow to begin. Paint Stripper, Demon Cleaner and Feel The Thrill collided soon after the start checking Paint Stripper. Dodgy Dealer and Dr. Thanos collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Proven Will checked off Dr. Thanos approaching the first turn. Proven Will brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Proven Will and Paint Stripper collided approaching the home turn checking Proven Will.
A sample was taken from Black Fatali - the winner of the event.
Proven Will was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr J Thompson, the trainer of the greyhound Proven Will. Stewards deemed the performance of Proven Will unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Proven Will must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted
Paint Stripper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Due to extreme weather conditions, Stewards in consultation with the Club Veterinarian Surgeon, Dr Steve Karamatic, rescheduled start times for all races by 20 minutes.
