Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr.J.Ennis, the trainer of Zipping Flex regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Zipping Flex last raced on 22nd August, 2015. Mr.Ennis stated that the greyhound was returning to race after having bone chips removed from its right wrist..
Prancing Magic was a late scratching at 6:18pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an elavated temperature. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Loverso, the handler of the greyhound Dyna Shinko and reminded him of his responsibilities in ensuring that he arrives at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.
A pre-race sample was taken from Dyna Shinko.
Hestia Bale and Sisco Wake were slow to begin. Dyna Shinko, Mepunga Treasure and Zipping Felix collided soon after the start checking Mepunga Treasure and Zipping Felix. Mepunga Treasure and Zipping Felix collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Felix checked off King Size Shambi on the first turn. Zipping Felix, King Size Shambi and Sisco Wake raced wide on the second turn. Dyna Shinko and Sisco Wake collided entering the back straight. Hestia Bale and Sisco Wake collided approaching the third turn checking Hestia Bale and Dyna Shinko; Dyna Shinko collided with Zipping Felix as a result. Hestia Bale and Zipping Geoff collided entering the home straight.
