Matilda Taylor and Nifty Neville collided on the first turn checking Nifty Neville, Garmon Bale and Massive Com   Both Hatchet Bale and Garmon Bale raced wide on the home turn.  Massive Com galloped on the heels of Matilda Taylor entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Massive Com checked off Matilda Taylor approaching the winning post.

Lyka Allen and Dyna Ditto were quick to begin.  Astrology, Allen Dynamo and Leroy Tron collided soon after the start.  Leroy Tron checked off Ginger Speed approaching the first turn.  Gee Joon and Allen Dynamo collided approaching the first turn.  Gee Joon checked off Astrology on the first turn.  Leroy Tron, Dyna Ditto and Ginger Speed collided on the first turn severely checking Dyna Ditto and Ginger Speed and causing Dyna Ditto to stumble.

Dyna Ditto was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 9, it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right thigh, left fibula, left saddle muscle and left shoulder.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Ginger Speed was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr.J.Ennis, the trainer of Zipping Flex regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Zipping Flex last raced on 22nd August, 2015.  Mr.Ennis stated that the greyhound was returning to race after having bone chips removed from its right wrist..

Prancing Magic was a late scratching at 6:18pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an elavated temperature. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Loverso, the handler of the greyhound Dyna Shinko and reminded him of his responsibilities in ensuring that he arrives at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.

Ms. D.Coleman, trainer of Hanging In There declared a new weight of 31.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hanging In There last raced at 30.3kgs.

Immortal Bear and Lektra Utopia were quick to begin.  Hanging In There was slow to begin.  Penelopes Cruzn and Allen Icarus collided approaching the first turn checking Allen Icarus.  Lektra Utopia and Immortal Bear collided on the first turn checking Hanging In There and Allen Icarus.  Crackerjack Burn and Penelopes Cruzn collided on the first turn.  Penelopes Cruzn, Immortal Bear and Tiggerlong Katut collided approaching the home turn.  Immortal Bear and Lektra Utopia raced wide entering the home straight.  Allen Icarus faltered in the home straight and lost considerable ground as a result.
