Steward's Report
Mr G Dainton trainer of Smashing Blue declared a new weight of 33.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Smashing Blue last raced at 32.7kgs.
Tat Duke was a late scratching at 10:42pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
All Inn Africa was slow to begin. Burrawonga Betoo and Zipping Anna collided soon after the start. Dolly Dyer galloped on the heels of Moyarra Okuibi on the first turn, checking Moyarra Okuibi. Smashing Blue galloped on the heels of Moyarra Okuibi approaching the home turn, checking Moyarra Okuibi. Dolly Dyer and Burrawonga Betoo collided on the home turn. Moyarra Okuibi and Smashing Blue collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds which raced as a result.
Meeting comments
Re - vetted greyhound - Play A Kazoo was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling and was cleared to race. Acting under GAR83, Stewards directed that a urine sample be taken from the greyhound.
Vetted greyhound - Skate Thin Ice was presented for a veterinary examination after leaving the Sandown track prior to being vetted on Sunday 13 December 2015. It was reported that the greyhound was found to be injured in the right hind medial toe. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR83, Stewards directed that a urine sample be taken from the greyhound.
