Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Perfect Hours and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 2:42pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). Trainer, Ms. C. Barnard was fined the sum of $100.
Sultan's Boy and Tiger Girl were quick to begin. Terra Flash and Rozehill Alby were slow to begin. Rozehill Alby lost ground soon after the start eased approaching the home turn and tailed off. Rozehill Alby checked off Gozo Man in the home straight. Tiger Girl and Sultan's Boy raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Lacy, the trainer of the greyhound Rozehill Alby regarding the greyhound's racing manners soon after the start. Rozehill Alby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Rozehill Alby with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Lacy pleaded guilty to the charge. Rozehill Alby was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
