Mr. G. Graham, trainer of Woodleigh Bond declared a new weight of 33.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Woodleigh Bond last raced at 34.8kgs.

Woodleigh Bond was slow to begin.  Cool As Hell and Barra Johnson collided soon after the start.  Kyla's Cruiser, Ninetymile Lucky and Lola Allen collided approaching the first turn checking Kyla's Cruiser and Ninetymile Lucky.  Paddy's Cripp and Make It Happen collided on the first turn severely checking Make It Happen.  Kyla's Cruiser checked off Make It Happen approaching the home turn.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Kyla's Cruiser became dislodged during the running of the event.

A sample was taken from Barra Johnson, the winner of the event.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Perfect Hours and no illness was detected.  The greyhound was a late scratching at 2:42pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  Trainer, Ms. C. Barnard was fined the sum of $100.

Sultan's Boy and Tiger Girl were quick to begin.  Terra Flash and Rozehill Alby were slow to begin.  Rozehill Alby lost ground soon after the start eased approaching the home turn and tailed off.  Rozehill Alby checked off Gozo Man in the home straight.  Tiger Girl and Sultan's Boy raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Lacy, the trainer of the greyhound Rozehill Alby regarding the greyhound's racing manners soon after the start.  Rozehill Alby was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Rozehill Alby with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Lacy pleaded guilty to the charge.  Rozehill Alby was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Nirvana Armo.

Scarlet Evader went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Falkor and Vegas Dealer collided soon after the start.  Nirvana Armo checked off Lochinvar Rox approaching the first turn.  Secret Message and Lochinvar Rox collided approaching the first turn.  Vegas Dealer and Blocka Boy collided approaching the first turn severely checking Blocka Boy; Blocka Boy fell checking Secret Message and Lochinvar Rox and severely checking Norvana Armo as a result.  Tiana and Scarlet Evader collided on the first turn checking Tiana.  Vegas Dealer and Secret Message collided entering the home straight.

Nirvana Armo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Blocka Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was taken from Effectual.

Goodbye Gary was slow to begin.  Dee Jay Dancer and Call Me Matt collided approaching the first turn.  Effectual checked off Santana approaching the first turn.  Goodbye Gary checked off Call Me Matt on the first turn.  Pink Floyd and Call Me Matt collided on the home turn causing Pink Floyd to collide with Goodbye Gary; Goodbye Gary was checked as a result.  Pink Floyd and Call Me Matt collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Galloping Leo.

Princess Shae, Shall She Cindy, Yancy Bale and Ninnie Allen were slow to begin.  Princess Shae checked off Phoebe Allen approaching the first turn. Princess Shae checked off Shall She Cindy on the first turn.

Night Prancer and Stroke Of Genius were slow to begin.  Night Prancer and Big Burkey collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Stroke Of Genius and Arvo's Violet collided approaching the first turn checking Arvo's Violet.  Stroke Of Genius checked off Night Prancer approaching the home turn. Major Nippa and Miz Josie collided on the home turn.  Night Prancer and Miz Josie raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was unable to obtained from Arvo's Violet, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

A sample was taken from Willowvale Brezz, the winner of the event.

Major Moe was a late scratching at 2:40pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration to its left foot.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from In A Pickle.

This event was delayed by approximately 3 minutes due to short gaps between races.

Nikita's Blaze, In A Pickle and Miata Gold collided approaching the first turn checking Miata Gold and Nikita's Blaze.  Renajohn faltered on the first turn and subsequently pulled up.  Miata Gold and Flying Stealth collided on the first turn.  Who's My Daddy raced wide in the home straight.

Renajohn was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to its right hock.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed. The greyhound was retired to GAP.

Willovale Wings, Dewana Interest and Guard Your Path collided soon after the start checking Guard Your Path.  Sunday Sess and Wolfbane McCabe collided approaching the first turn.  Gunsblaze checked off Guard Your Path approaching the first turn.  Wolfbane McCabe clipped the heels of Peggy Sable on the first turn severely checking Peggy Sable.  Gunsblaze galloped on the heels of Peggy Sable approaching the home turn severely checking Peggy Sable.  Peggy Sable raced wide in the home straight.

Peggy Sable was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its left calf.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Dewana Interest, the winner of the event.

Crystal Shadow and Hurricane Craig collided soon after the start.  Crystal Shadow, Hurricane Craig and Bella Ha Ha collided approaching the first turn checking Hurricane Craig and Crystal Shadow.  Bernmar Terry checked off Emperor Cruz on the first turn checking Bella Ha Ha.  Hurricane Craig, Dream Goal and Zafonic Express collided on the first turn checking Hurricane Craig and Dream Goal.  Bernmar Terry and Zafonic Express collided on the home turn. Emperor Cruz and Bella Ha Ha collided several times in the home straight.

Bella Ha Ha was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its left metatarsal.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. R. Neocleous, the trainer of Bella Ha Ha regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Emperor Cruz, the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Rockin' Roller.

Gats Pacino went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Mandela Sun and Coco Marlow collided on the first turn.  Mandela Sun and Botanic Lass collided on the home turn checking Botanic Lass; Botanic Lass crossed to the outside and checked Oscar Beam as a result.  Mandela Sun and Botanic Lass collided in the home straight checking Botanic Lass.

Mandela Sun was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound and abrasions to its right hind metatarsal and foot and an injury to its right thigh.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. P. Pollutro, the trainer of Mandela Sun regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lunchmoney Lewis.

Lunchmoney Lewis was slow to begin.  Shake The Night and Vic For Short collided soon after the start.  Black Selandra and Willowvale Pearl collided approaching the first turn checking Black Selandra, Willowvale Pearl and Lunchmoney Lewis.  Lunchmoney Lewis checked off Black Selandra approaching the first turn.  Willowvale Pearl and Vic For Short collided on the first turn severely checking Willowvale Pearl.  Black Selandra and Willowvale Pearl raced wide in the home straight.

Dessie Walnut was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right wrist.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Ms. L. Davis, trainer of Sonny's Honey declared a new weight of 31.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Sonny's Honey last raced at 29.7kgs. Sonny's Honey was returning to racing after a spell. it last raced on 8/9/2016.

A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Noir.

This event was hand-timed.  The first split was 8:42.
