Perfect Rider was vetted prior to the event after it was found that the greyhound was out of his kennel but was still locked in the race bay.  The greyhound was cleared to race.

Anustar and Perfect Rider collided soon after the start.  Country Flash and Bombora Comet collided on the first turn checking Bombora Comet.  Maximum Dos, Perfect Rider and Anustar collided on the first turn checking Maximum Dos.

Cosmic Odette trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 1, weight 29.1kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.81.  The greyhound won by a margin of 8.75 lengths.  Cosmic Odette was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Tanti, the trainer of Destini Baritone regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Destini Baritone last raced on 22nd June 2016.  Mr. Tanti stated that the greyhound was returning to race after an injured toe.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Destini Baritone trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 2, weight 35.5kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.81.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8.75 lengths.  Destini Baritone was cleared.
