Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Don's Shy Girl upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Mr. S. Edgar, trainer of Rocket Riley declared a new weight of 28.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Rocket Riley last raced at 26.8kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Diyas.
Suspicious Lee was quick to begin. Rocket Riley was slow to begin. Senni Rocks checked off Spring Alis approaching the first turn. Cordite Extra, Cosmic Kilby and Diyas collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Kilby. Diyas and Don's Shy Girl collided on the home turn. Senni Rocks and Rocket Riley raced wide in the home straight.
Cosmic Kilby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
