Steward's Report
Rhyan's Return was quick to begin. Coolgirl Miss was slow to begin. Wadelock Sampson and Serendipitous collided soon after the start checking Wadelock Sampson. Artistic Alyssa and Coolgirl Miss collided approaching the first turn checking Coolgirl Miss. Simbarea crossed to the rail on the first turn severely checking Wadelock Sampson and Artistic Alyssa. Serendipitous and Rhyan's Return collided on the first turn. Rhyan's Return checked off Serendipitous approaching the home turn. Zelemar Cocoa and Coolgirl Miss collided approaching the home turn checking Zelemar Cocoa. Zelemar Cocoa checked off Coolgirl Miss on the home turn. Adala Son raced wide on the home turn. Zelemar Cocoa veered out and marred Coolgirl Miss approaching the winning post checking Coolgirl Miss and Artistic Alyssa.
Zelemar Cocoa was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Jennings, the trainer of the greyhound Zelemar Cocoa regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Zelemar Cocoa with marring. Mr. Jennings pleaded not guilty to the charge. Zelemar Cocoa was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
