Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. P Glover, the trainer of Northern Ghost regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Northern Ghost last raced on 13th October, 2016 and is returning to racing after a left stopper bone injury.
A pre race sample was taken from Mallard.
Dulcet Sound was slow to begin. Dulcet Sound checked off Nothern Ghost at the 250m mark. Northern Ghost checked off My Baby Porscha at the 200m mark. My Baby Porscha and Alira Kate collided at the 200m mark. Gats Caviar eased at the 200m mark. Mallard, Gats Caviar, Northern Ghost, My Baby Porscha and Alira Kate collided at the 150m mark. Showtime Mystery, Northern Ghost and My Baby Porscha collided at the 100m mark.
Stewards spoke to G Condon, the trainer of the greyhound Gats Caviar regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 200m mark. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Gats Caviar with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. G Condon pleaded guilty to the charge, Gats Caviar was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
