Boof's Banjo was slow to begin.  Miss Flower and Why Not Becky collided soon after the start.  Cowboy Brett, Miss Flower and Why Not Becky collided soon after the start.  Magic Dance and Church Parade collided at the 250m mark.  Cowboy Brett and Miss Flower collided at the 250m mark.  Cool Al checked off Magic Dance at the 200m mark, severely checking both greyhounds.  Magic Dance and Cool Al collided at the 150m mark.  Invasion raced wide throughout the event.

Stewards spoke to Ms. D White after the greyhound Magic Dance was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Ms. White was issued with a warning and reminded when kennelling she ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure. 

Stewards spoke to kennel attendant, Mr. M Stevens after the greyhound Magic Dance was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr. Stevens was issued with a warning and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. D Jarvis, the trainer of Pat Me Again regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Pat Me Again last raced on 28th August, 2016 and is returning to racing after a season. 

A pre race sample was unable to be obtained form Pat Me Again.  A post race sample was subsequently taken.

Bronelly Duke was slow to begin.  Mendacious Lad and Blue Deception collided soon after the start.  Galaxy Sprite, Colluding and Mendacious Lad collided several times soon after the start, checking Colluding and Mendacious Lad.  Blue Deception and Coli's Girl collided at the 150m mark. Coli's Girl checked off Pat Me Again at the 100m mark.

Stewards spoke to Ms. T Stephens and issued her with a warning regarding her failure to catch the greyhound Pat Me Again. 

No Quarter Given was a late scratching at 11.28am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer P Hofman was fined the sum of $100.

Acrostar was quick to begin.  Little Big Chief checked off Uncle Bump at the 200m mark.

Challis Jack and Vista Bandit were slow to begin.  Shakey Benz and Buzman Benz collided soon after the start.  Razzle Oak, Fiery Chieftan and Challis Jack collided approaching the 300m mark.  Shakey Benz, Buzman Benz and Dozer Gold collided at the 300m mark.  Dozer Gold and Glib Lightning collided at the 250m mark.  Razzle Oak and Challis Jack colided at the 250m mark.  Shakey Benz and Buzman Benz collided at the 200m mark and again at the 150m mark.  Dozer Gold checked off Vista Bandit at the 100m mark.  Shakey Benz and Buzman Benz collided at the 50m mark, checking Shakey Benz.

Splash Of Blue and Secret Society collided soon after the start.  Two Seasons, Boloney Club and Jasocate collided soon after the start.  Two Seasons and Ready Jet Go collided at the 200m mark.  Bear Magic and Secret Society collided at the 150m mark, severely checking Secret Society which stumled as a result.  Two Seasons and Secret Society collided at the 100m mark.

Miss Pepperoni was slow to begin.  It's All Talk crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Milburn Gold and Sub Zero Magic.  Keep Talking and Sandy Monelli collided at the 250m mark.  It's All Talk crossed to the rail at the 250m mark, checking Magic Moon Dust and Sandy Monelli.

Cullquin Bomber was slow to begin.  Selynya Flash, Johnny's Return, To The Galo's and Bide Time collided soon after the start.  To The Galo's, Eyes On You and Brilliant Shot collided at the 300m mark.  Selynya Flash, Johnny's Return and Eyes On You collided at the 250m mark.

Carve was slow to begin.  Roman Around, Another Hope and Shiro collided soon after the start, checking Roman Around and causing Another Hope to fall as a result.  Roman Around and Acola Rosebud collided at the 200m mark.  

Another Hope was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre race sample was taken from Due Process.

Hardaway Terror was slow to begin.  Like A Fancy crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Tommy Two.  Due Process crossed to the outside at the 250m mark, checking Tommy Two and Like A Fancy.  Like A Fancy crossed to the rail at the 200m mark, checking Tommy Two.  Due Process and Master Phelps raced wide at the 200m mark.  Hardaway Terror and Like A Fancy collided at the 150m mark.  Tommy Two crossed to the outside at the 150m mark.  Due Process, Tommy Two and Master Phelps raced wide from the 150m mark until the winning post.  Hardaway Terror and Like A Fancy collided several times from the 150m mark until the winning post.

Gotta Rush was slow to begin.  Chubby Lane and Oaklands collided soon after the start and again at the 250m mark.  Dynamite Dozer and Samsara Lass collided at the 250m mark.  Chubby Lane and Oaklands collided at the 200m mark.  Dynamite Dozer and Samsara Lass collided at the 150m mark and again approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P Glover, the trainer of Northern Ghost regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Northern Ghost last raced on 13th October, 2016 and is returning to racing after a left stopper bone injury.

Dulcet Sound was slow to begin.  Dulcet Sound checked off Nothern Ghost at the 250m mark.  Northern Ghost checked off My Baby Porscha at the 200m mark.  My Baby Porscha and Alira Kate collided at the 200m mark.  Gats Caviar eased at the 200m mark.  Mallard, Gats Caviar, Northern Ghost, My Baby Porscha and Alira Kate collided at the 150m mark.  Showtime Mystery, Northern Ghost and My Baby Porscha collided at the 100m mark.

Stewards spoke to G Condon, the trainer of the greyhound Gats Caviar regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 200m mark.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Gats Caviar with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. G Condon pleaded guilty to the charge, Gats Caviar was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
