Steward's Report
Who Told Harry, Master Bekim and Galloping Jamie were slow to begin. Mepunga Joffa checked off Maximum Mak soon after the start. Mepunga Joffa and Master Bekim collided on the first turn. Dream Edition and Galloping Jamie collided on the second turn. Dream Edition checked off Galloping Jamie entering the back straight. Dream Edition veered in and marred the running of Galloping Jamie in the home straight.
A sample was taken from My Silver Chisel - the winner of the event.
Dream Edition was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Maximum Mak was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right triceps, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to A Langton, the trainer of the greyhound Dream Edition regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dream Edition with marring. A Langton pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dream Edition was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
