This race started 2 minutes late due to Sky Channel commitments at Blayney harness.
Able Chief was slow to begin. Flying Kayla checked off Lawman on the first turn and raced wide. Rise Above It checked off Able Chief in the front straight. Able Chief checked off Natural Oak in the back straight. Natural Oak and Lawman collided in the back straight. Lawman and Rise Above It collided on the fourth turn. Flying Kayla contacted the running rail and lost considerable ground on the fourth turn.

Flying Kayla was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a superficial wound to the left hock, no stand down period was imposed.
