Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Mr.D.Brennan, the trainer of  Cerberus regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cerberus last raced on 29 July 2015. Mr.Brennan  stated that  the greyhound was resuming racing following an injury to the right wrist.

Tekki Tinker, Mr. Leigh and Miss Tricky were slow to begin. Invictus Ash, Cerberus and Miss Tricky collided soon after the start, checking Miss Tricky and Cerberus. Dagwood and Brandon's Way collided approaching the first turn. Mr. Leigh and Cerberus collided approaching the first turn, causing Cerberus to race wide. Invictus Ash raced wide entering the back straight and lost ground. Dagwood and Mr. Leigh collided in the back straight. Dagwood checked off Asterix Rose approaching the home turn. Brandon's Way and Miss Tricky collided on the home turn. Mr. Leigh cramped approaching the winning post. it was noted that Invictus Ash tailed off. 

A sample was taken from Asterix Rose - the winner of the event. 

Invictus Ash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained inflamation to the left wrist, a twenty-one day stand down period was imposed. 

Mr. Leigh was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained cramp, no stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Clarke the representative of the greyhound Mr. Leigh.  Acting in accordance withGAR 71(Cramp),Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
