Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr K Quinn, the trainer of Silver's Sister regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Silver's Sister last raced on 8th July, 2015. Mr Quinn stated that Silver's Sister was returning to racing after suffering a hock injury.
Mr. D. Langley, trainer of Ginlee's Prince declared a new weight of 31.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ginlee's Prince last raced at 32.8kgs.
Ninja Zorro and Dawn Cruise were slow to begin. Dawn Cruise, Ninja Zorro and Toy Princess collided soon after the start checking Toy Princess which tailed off as a result. Ninja Zorro checked off Dawn Cruise approaching the first turn. Silver's Sister checked off Chantilly Magic on the first turn. Ginlee's Prince, Silver's Sister and Hardy Chief collided on the first turn checking Ginlee's Prince, Dawn Cruise, Ninja Zorro and Hardy Chief and causing Stolen Gem to fall. Ninja Zorro and Dawn Cruise collided approaching the home turn.
Toy Princess was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stolen Gem was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained nerve damage to its right front leg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
