Don's Shy Girl and Booma Mikado were slow to begin and collided at the 250 metre mark. Pep Cee Kola and My Baby Porscha collided at the 200 metre mark. Miss Jay Mac checked off Pep Cee Kola at the 100 metre mark.

Satisfactory Trial Results
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Dawson, the trainer of Puzzle And Me regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Puzzle And Me last raced on 10th June 2016. Mr. Dawson stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a spell and injuries to its toes. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Puzzle And Me trialled over the 300 metre distance from box 1, weight 32.3kgs. The greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 16.93. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.25 lengths. Puzzle And Me was cleared.
