Dream Goal, Dee Mini Mouse and Star Douglas were slow to begin.  Dee Mini Mouse checked off Proud Phoenix soon after the start.  Dream Goal and Dee Mini Mouse collided at the 200 metre mark.  Sly Deception and Nanny's Poppy collided at the 150 metre mark.  Dee Mini Mouse and Star Douglas collided at the 150 metre mark checking Dee Mini Mouse.  Sly Deception and Owned And Proud collided appoaching the winning post.

Samples were taken from the first two placegetters in this event - Dream Goal (1st) and Proud Phoenix (2nd).

Blue Deception was quick to begin.  Cathy's Tiger was slow to begin.  Road To Nhill and Cathy's Tiger collided soon after the start.  Gold Rush Dozer and Coli's Girl collided at the 200 metre mark.  Road To Nhill and Hey Shaza Fozz collided at the 150 metre mark.  Road To Nhill and Sammi Jay collided at the 100 metre mark.  Gold Rush Dozer and Sammi Jay collided approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Radford, the trainer of Sammi Jay and reminded him of his responsibilities to ensure he arrives at the kennels on time to retrieve his greyhound for racing, pursuant to GAR 46.

A sample was taken from Blue Deception, the winner of the event.

Last Princess was slow to begin.  Double Deception crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Blue Miller Girl.  She Loves Me and Taytor Tot collided soon after the start.  Blue Miller Girl and Double Deception collided at the 200 metre mark.  She Loves Me checked off Taytor Tot at the 200 metre mark.  Tip Toe galloped on the heels of Blue Miller Girl at the 150 metre mark checking both greyhounds.  Westcoast Boy and My Name's Lenny collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bubsy John.

Bubsy John, Arashundi and Blue Afro were slow to begin.  Bubsy John and Arashundi collided soon after the start.  Blue Afro crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Oh Lele Simon crossed to the outside soon after the start and raced wide throughout the remainder of the event.  Bubsy John checked off Glib Lightning at the 300 metre mark.  Arashundi and Oh Lele Simon collided at the 250 metre mark.  Bubsy John and Ima Terror collided approaching the winning post.  Big Roman raced wide throughout the event.

Ninetymile Toby was slow to begin.  Stretch Limo and Atari Flash collided soon after the start.  Atari Flash checked off Yorgi at the 300 metre mark.

Muzzle Jump and Tarree's Ruslie were slow to begin.  Tarree's Ruslie and Bambalam Emma collided soon after the start checking Tarree's Ruslie.  Tarree's Ruslie crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Kiss My Fuji.  Tarree's Ruslie and Kiss My Fuji collided several times at the 300 metre mark. Gold Cup crossed to outside at the 300 metre mark checking See Him Run.  See Him Run crossed to the inside at the 250 metre mark and collided with Showgirl Miss.  Tarree's Ruslie and Showgirl Miss collided several times from the 150 metre mark to the 50 metre mark.

Kiss My Fuji was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its left calf.  No stand down period was imposed.

Mrs. C. Paez, handler of Till's Henry declared a new weight of 33.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR39(2).  Till's Henry last raced at 32.5kgs.

Spazzy Blue and Logic Lad were slow to begin.  Miss Fox and Tills Henry collided soon after the start.  Better Beware, Miss Fox, Tills Henry, Pappa Gallo and Oaklands collided soon after the start checking Oaklands.  Logic Lad and Better Beware collided at the 100 metre mark.

Rover was a late scratching at 11:38am on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to swollen right metatarsals.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Let's Go Billy and Vintage Warrior were slow to begin.  Let's Go Billy and Superior Swagger collided soon after the start.  Vintage Warrior and Superior Swagger collided approaching the 300 metre mark checking Superior Swagger.  Ablazin Mikado and Fear Fire collided approaching the winning post checking Ablazin Mikado, Fear Fire and Blue Boy.

Mr. R. Crawford, trainer of Zelemar Bomba declared a new weight of 32.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR39(2).  Zelemar Bomba last raced at 30.8kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zulu Zoe.

Ninetymile Saint and Ultimate Matrix were slow to begin.  Zelemar Bomba and Zulu Zoe collided soon after the start.  Silver Banjo, Zelemar Bomba and Zulu Zoe collided several times at the 300 metre mark.  Ninetymile Saint and Ultimate Matrix collided approaching the 250 metre mark.  Wendy Can't Run and Zulu Zoe collided at the 250 metre mark and again approaching the 200 metre mark.  Jarrad Keats checked off Zelemar Bomba at the 200 metre mark checking Jarrad Keats.  Wendy Can't Run checked off Zulu Zoe approaching the 100 metre mark.  Zelemar Bomba eased approaching the 50 metre mark.

Jarrad Keats was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Crawford, the trainer of the greyhound Zelemar Bomba regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the 50 metre mark.  Zelemar Bomba was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 12, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left wrist and groin.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Zelemar Bomba with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Crawford pleaded not guilty to the charge.  Zelemar Bomba was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Jax Mikado.

Okay Alpha and Jax Mikado were slow to begin.  Kathy's Lady and Mendacious Lad collided at the 250 metre mark.  Okay Alpha, Still Just Under and Mayfair Miss collided at the 200 metre mark checking Jax Mikado.  Jax Mikado checked off Mayfair Miss at the 100 metre mark.

A sample was taken from Mallard - the winner of the Event.

This Event was delayed approximately two minutes after the hydraulic crane failed to lift the 300m boxes onto the track on the first attempt.  Stewards established that the safety switch had relocked disengaging the crane.  The boxes were lifted onto the track on the second attempt after the safety switch was reactivated.  Stewards directed that the trip be tested by the Starter prior to the greyhounds being placed in the boxes for this Event.  There was no further incident.

Aother Hope was slow to begin.  Stroke Of Genius, Bless 'Em All and Lucky's Spirit collided soon after the start.  Tzar Knight and Molly Walker collided soon after the start.  Stroke Of Genius, Bless 'Em All, Lucky's Spirit and Tzar Knight collided at the 250 metre mark.  Another Hope and Dr. Ripped collided several times from the 50 metre mark to the winning post.

Mr. K. Stephens, trainer of Baroness Molly declared a new weight of 25.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR39(2).  Baroness Molly last raced at 23.9kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Pep Cee Kola.

Don's Shy Girl and Booma Mikado were slow to begin and collided at the 250 metre mark.  Pep Cee Kola and My Baby Porscha collided at the 200 metre mark.  Miss Jay Mac checked off Pep Cee Kola at the 100 metre mark.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Dawson, the trainer of Puzzle And Me regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Puzzle And Me last raced on 10th June 2016.  Mr. Dawson stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a spell and injuries to its toes.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Puzzle And Me trialled over the 300 metre distance from box 1, weight 32.3kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 16.93.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.25 lengths.  Puzzle And Me was cleared.
