A pre race sample was taken from Moonlight Cruise.
Dawn Cruise was slow to begin. Premier Wally, All Inn Africa and Hot Genetics collided soon after the start checking All Inn Africa and Hot Genetics. McThumpa faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off as a result. Sunday Sess and All Inn Africa collided on the first turn checking Sunday Sess. Moonlight Cruise and Hot Genetics collided several times approaching the home turn checking Hot Genetics. All In Africa and Hot Genetics collided on the home turn and again in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Sunday Sess checked off Hot Genetics in the home straight.
McThumpa was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both back muscles. A stand down period of 60 days was imposed.
