A sample was taken from Bushman's Luck upon arrival at the track.
Be Hopeful was slow to begin. It's A Blast and Benny Mac collided soon after the start. Connemara Xav and Cadalora collided soon after the start. Connemara Xav and Cadalora collided on the first turn, checking Cadalora. Aston Amon and It's A Blast collided on the first turn, checking Cadalora. Aston Amon and It's A Blast collided on the first turn, checking It's A Blast. It's A Blast checked off Bushman's Luck on the first turn. Aston Amon and Lady Isabella collided in the back straight, checking Lady Isabella. Lady Isabella checked off Connemara Xav on the second turn. Connemara Xav checked off Bushman's Luck on the home turn. Cadalora checked off Connemara Xav on the home turn. Lady Isabella crossed to the outside on the home turn and raced wide as a result.

The All Clear was delayed to allow Stewards to review the start of this event as it was reported that the number above Box 7 had shifted. Acting on their own observations and after viewing the start, Stewards were of the opinion that the greyhound in Box 7 was not affected.
The photo finish failed to capture an image for this event. Acting on the Judge's own observations and using the back up system the All Clear was given on the Judge's numbers 3, 1, 4 & 7
