Steward's Report
Fab Dream was quick to begin. Moonlit Eyes and Ride Ain't Over were slow to begin. Chinese Whisper and Boda Boda collided approaching the first turn. Daintree Jim eased and checked off Chinese Whisper on the second turn. Boda Boda clipped the heels of Shy Freddie on the first turn. Moonlit Eyes raced wide in the back straight. Moonlit Eyes checked off Cosmic Tilly approaching the home turn and raced wide.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Matthews, the trainer of the greyhound Daintree Jim regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn. Daintree Jim was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a mild soreness to the right triangle muscle, a three day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Daintree Jim with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Matthews pleaded guilty to the charge, Daintree Jim was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
