Steward's Report
Fanta Bale, Aston Gisle and Miss Morrisset were quick to begin. Lagoon Jazzy, Bel Air Mist, Hae Allen and Flying Cash collided soon after the start, checking Flying Cash and Hae Allen. Lagoon Jazzy, Aston Gisle and Miss Morrisset collided on the first turn, severely checking Aston Gisle and Miss Morrisset. Lagoon Jazzy checked off Bel Air Mist on the second turn. Billiluna and Bel Air Mist collided approaching the third turn. Lagoon Jazzy checked off Flying Cash on the third turn. Hae Allen marred the running of Bel Air Mist on the home turn, checking Hae Allen, Bel Air Mist and Aston Gisle.
A sample was taken from Billiluna - placed second in the event.
Stewards noted that the muzzle of Hae Allen became dislodged during the running of this event.
Hae Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Shillington, the handler of the greyhound Hae Allen regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Hae Allen with marring. Mr. Shillington pleaded not guilty to the charge, Hae Allen was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
