A pre-race sample was taken from Fabstar.
Echelonic Action and Telarah Flash collided soon after the start. Fabstar and Iyliss Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Iyliss Bale. Slipaway Robbie, Fabstar and Lyka Allen collided on the first turn checking Fabstar. Iyliss Bale checked off Lyka Allen on the first turn. Gunmetal Rebel and Echelonic Action collided on the home turn checking Lyka Allen.
A sample was taken from Gunmetal Rebel, the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Formosa, the representative of Gunmetal Rebel regarding the greyhound performing above market expectations in today's event. Mr. Formosa stated that Gunmetal Rebel had suffered interference in it's previous few starts and in his opinion the greyhound was aided by a clear run today. Stewards noted his explanation.
