Pre race samples were taken from Dyna Dieter unplaced in the event.
Sky Fighter and Quintella were quick to begin. Gettin Slizzard and Billy Burst were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Gettin Slizzard. Sky Fighter, Dyna Dieter and Bella Clare collided on the first turn. Dyna Dieter checked off Quintella on the second turn. Amram Allen checked off Quintella approaching the home turn.
