Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Carter, the trainer of Midnight Flynn regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Midnight Flynn last raced on 27th of August, 2016. Mr. Carter stated that Midnight Flynn is returning to racing from a split webbing injury.
Gold Compass and Gunmetal Diva were quick to begin. Midnight Flynn checked off Belron Gus soon after the start. Belron Gus crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Soxy, Wet And Wild and Gotta Get Back and severely checking I've Got Bills. Soxy checked off Gotta Get Back on the first turn. Wet And Wild checked off Soxy on the first turn. Wet And Wild checked off Soxy in the home straight.
