Steward's Report
Nukstar was very slow to begin (4L). Prestwick and Draculette collided soon after the start, checking Draculette. Warringal Miss, Prestwick and Prictures Of Me collided approaching the first turn, checking Warringal Miss, Nukstar and Pictures Of Me, and Prestwick fell as a result. Elite Obama and Texta Arandt collided on the first turn. Nukstar marred the running of Pictures Of Me several times in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S Liuzzi, the representative of the greyhound Nukstar regarding the greyhounds racing manners in home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Mr. Liuzzi with marring. Mr. Liuzzi pleaded guilty to the charge, Nukstar was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Nukstar was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Prestwick was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg back muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
