Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr G Kantzidis after the greyhound Lunchmoney Lewis was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr. Kantzidis was issued with a severe reprimand and reminded when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure.
Stewards spoke to kennel attendant, Mr T Dempsey after the greyhound, Lunchmoney Lewis, was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr Dempsey was issued with a severe reprimand and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.
A pre-race sample was taken from Don's Racer.
Fiery Universe was quick to begin. Rock'em Elvis was slow to begin. Lunchmoney Lewis, Oscar, Don's Racer, Hop On Black and Seabrook Oscar collided approaching the first turn, checking Seabrook Oscar. Thunderous Night faltered and tailed off on the first turn. Don's Racer and Hop On Black collided on the first turn, checking Don's Racer, Hop On Black, Seabrook Oscar, Rock'em Elvis and Oscar. Oscar, Don's Racer and Rock'em Elvis collided approaching the home turn, checking all three greyhounds.
Thunderous Night was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg hock injury, and was humanely euthanased.
