Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Trov's Gem.
Le Doyen was quick to begin. Hunter's Hero, Beyond Today and Loving Angels collided soon after the start. Le Doyen and Trov's Gem collided approaching the first turn. Select Selwood, Worthy Reab, Beyond Today and Trov's Gem collided approaching the first turn checking Trov's Gem and Worthy Reab, Worthy Reab tailed off as a result. Select Selwood and Beyond Today collided on the first turn. Select Selwood and Le Doyen collided approaching the home turn. Select Selwood and Loving Angels collided approaching the winning post.
Worthy Reab was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent. Mr. Clay declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Clay the representative of the greyhound Worthy Reab. Stewards deemed the performance of Worthy Reab unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Worthy Reab must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
