Steward's Report
Aerial Pursuit was quick to begin. Star Butterfly was very slow to begin, 3 lengths. Monterra Miss and Blue Boy collided soon after the start. Blue Boy checked off Call Me Deita approaching the first turn checking Monterra Miss. Monterra Miss checked off Blue Boy on the first turn. Aerial Pusuit and Still Just Under collided approaching the home turn. Princess Danae, Blue Boy and Star Butterfly raced wide on the home turn. Princess Danae and Monterra Miss raced wide in the home straight. Furious Jack and Still Just Under collided several times in the home straight and approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ward, the handler of the greyhound Still Just Under and reminded him of his responsibilities regarding checking that the greyhound has a correct fitting rug prior to leaving the kennelling area when the greyhound has been prepared by another person.
Still Just Under was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Monterra Miss was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Carbone, the trainer of the greyhound Monterra Miss. tewards deemed the performance of Monterra Miss unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Monterra Miss must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
