Blown Away and Delta Miss were slow to begin. Dynamic Amus was very slow to begin, 6 lengths. Cosmic Don checked off Limited Vision approaching the first turn. Canis Regis, Kolora Tess, Cosmic Don and Just Jatt collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Don which raced wide as a result. Delta Miss checked off Kolora Tess on the home turn. Cosmic Don raced wide on the home turn. Blown Away checked off Delta Miss on the home turn. Cosmic Don raced wide in the home straight. Delta Miss and Just Jatt collided in the home straight.

Aerial Pursuit was quick to begin. Star Butterfly was very slow to begin, 3 lengths. Monterra Miss and Blue Boy collided soon after the start. Blue Boy checked off Call Me Deita approaching the first turn checking Monterra Miss. Monterra Miss checked off Blue Boy on the first turn. Aerial Pusuit and Still Just Under collided approaching the home turn. Princess Danae, Blue Boy and Star Butterfly raced wide on the home turn. Princess Danae and Monterra Miss raced wide in the home straight. Furious Jack and Still Just Under collided several times in the home straight and approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ward, the handler of the greyhound Still Just Under and reminded him of his responsibilities regarding checking that the greyhound has a correct fitting rug prior to leaving the kennelling area when the greyhound has been prepared by another person. 

Still  Just Under was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Monterra Miss was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Carbone, the trainer of the greyhound Monterra Miss.  tewards deemed the performance of Monterra Miss unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Monterra Miss must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ecnal was a late scratching at 3:55pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Bulk Carnage was quick to begin. Dark Discovery was slow to begin. Nero Joe and Monterra collided soon after the start. Dark Discovery, Nero Joe and Monterra collided approaching the first turn checking Nero Joe. Bulk Carnage checked off Miss Capone approaching the first turn checking Jersey and severely checking Bulk Carnage which stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result. Dark Discovery, Nero Joe and Monterra collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn severely checking Nero Joe and Monterra. Dark Discovery raced wide as a result. Nero Joe and Monterra collided several times on the home turn. Jersey and Bulk Carnage. collided several times in the home straight.

Monterra was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock sprain and a spike wound to the left carpal pad. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Hendo Blue was quick to begin. Cape Shiraz was slow to begin. Urana Gold and You Can Jive collided soon after the start checking Urana Gold. Urana Gold galloped on the heels of You Can Jive soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Urana Gold checked off Cape Shiraz approaching the first turn. Cape Shiraz checked off How Good She on the first turn. You Can Jive checked  off Farce Allen approaching the home turn checking You Can Jive severley checking Cape Shiraz and How Good She. Urana Gold checked off How Good She on the home turn. Hendo Blue raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Following the event Stewards directed that Cape Shiraz be vetted. The trainer of Cape Shiraz Mr. P. Ellis left the race course without having the greyhound vetted. Stewards attempted to contact Mr. Ellis to return to the course but were unsuccessful. Mr. Ellis returned the Stewards phone call prior to race 11.  As a result Cape Shiraz will be required to be vetted at a race track prior to any future nominations being accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J Stemmer, the trainer of the greyhound Before Dawn regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Before Dawn last raced on 06.04.15 and is returning from racing after a season. 

Mr. J. Stemmer, trainer of Before Dawn declared a new weight of 27.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Beyond Dawn last raced at 26.7kg.

A pre race sample was taken from Bastet Bale.

Miss Rossi and Before Dawn were slow to begin. Staggerlicious checked off Deano's Gadget collided soon after the start. Proud Fantasy and Winter Time collided soon after the start. Proud Fantasy and Winter Time collided approaching the first checking Proud Fantasy, Winter Time and Before Dawn. Miss Rossi and Cosmic Lily collided collided approaching the home turn checking Cosmic Lily and Staggerlicious. Cosmic Lily and Staggerliciouscollided on the home turn. Cosmic Lily checked off Staggerlicious approaching the winning post.

Bastet Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a cut to the right hind fifth toe. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

High Hopes checked off Rules Apply soon after the start. Sisco Fiasco crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Smokey Whispers, Hunter Rocks and Sparkeen. Rules Apply, College Queen and Sisco Fiasco collided in the back straight checking College Queen and Sisco Fiasco. Hunter Rocks raced wide in the back straight. Sisco Fiasco checked off High Hopes on the second turn checking Smokey Whispers. High Hopes and Hunter Rocks collided approaching the home turn. Smokey Whispers, Sisco Fiasco and Sparkeen collided on the home turn checking Smokey Whispers.

Aston Gatum and Seabrook Joel were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Dot Com Diesel checked off Jackie Baxter soon after the start. Aston Gatum and Rangatang collided on the first turn checking Rangatang. Triple Lindy checked off Armed And Ready approaching the home turn. Dot Com Diesel and Aston Gatum collided on the home turn checking Aston Gatum. Dot Com Diesel checked off Triple Lindy in the home straight. Aston Gatum checked off Dot Com Diesel approaching the winning post, checking Jackie Baxter.

Beau Mambo and Kurzke were quick to begin. Sally Gardens, Smart Maxwell, Dyna Lemmy and Fantastic Pete collided soon after the start checking Smart Maxwell, Dyna Lemmy and Fantastic Pete. Mahogany Saphire and Snooky collided approaching the first turn checking Snooky. Mahogany Saphire and Sally Gardens collided entering the back straight. Sally Gardens and Fantastic Pete collided on the second turn. Snooky and Sally Gardens collided on the home turn. Dyna Lemmy and Fantastic Pete collided on the home turn. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Caulfield the trainer of Kurzke, the second placegetter, regarding the greyhound performing above market expectations. Mr. Caulfield stated that the greyhound had, had a two month spell and has been trialing very well since its return. Mr. Caulfield was not at all surprised with his greyhounds forward showing. Stewards noted Mr. Caulfield's explanation and directed that a sample be taken from Kurzke.

Zoe, Bullet Express and Mechatronic collided soon after the start checking Bullet Express. Turbine checked off Mechatronic approaching the first turn checking Bullet Express. Hurricane Ash and Mechatronic collided on the first turn checking Mechatronic. Hurricane Ash and Turbine collided on the home turn and again in the home straight checking Hurricane Ash.

A sample was taken from Daphne's Party, winner of the event.

Avatar Becker and Jodie's Knee were slow to begin. Same Day and Nitro Princess collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn. Magic Buddie and Velocity Saphire collided on the first turn checking Nitro Princess and Jodie's Knee and severely checking Avatar Becker. Magic Buddie fell as a result. Same Day and Velocity Saphire collided in the home straight.

Magic Buddie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a suspected fracture to the right shoulder. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.

Disco Diamond was a late scratching at 8:32am due to a pad injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. G Campbell, the trainer of the greyhound Disco Diamond regarding the circumstances surrounding the late scratching of the greyhound at 8:32am GAR 23 (1)(a). Mr. Campbell stated that upon retrieving the greyhound from the empty yard at 8:28am he discovered a cut on the greyhounds pad and called the scrathing department immediately. Stewards noted Mr. Campbell's explanation and took no further action. 

Heleray Jarda was quick to begin. Come At Me, Final Bid and Heleray Jarda collided on the first turn checking Final Bid and Heleray Jarda. Come At Me, Final Bid and Heleray Jarda collided on the home turn checking Final Bid and Heleray Jarda. Cosmic Ketut and Heleray Jarda raced wide entering the home straight. 

Ido Voodoo and Beyond The Valley were slow to begin. Heleray Steele galloped on the heels of Blue Away on the first turn checking Ido Voodoo, Heleray Steele, Tigress Eight and Beyond The Valley.
