Steward's Report
Beau Mambo and Kurzke were quick to begin. Sally Gardens, Smart Maxwell, Dyna Lemmy and Fantastic Pete collided soon after the start checking Smart Maxwell, Dyna Lemmy and Fantastic Pete. Mahogany Saphire and Snooky collided approaching the first turn checking Snooky. Mahogany Saphire and Sally Gardens collided entering the back straight. Sally Gardens and Fantastic Pete collided on the second turn. Snooky and Sally Gardens collided on the home turn. Dyna Lemmy and Fantastic Pete collided on the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Caulfield the trainer of Kurzke, the second placegetter, regarding the greyhound performing above market expectations. Mr. Caulfield stated that the greyhound had, had a two month spell and has been trialing very well since its return. Mr. Caulfield was not at all surprised with his greyhounds forward showing. Stewards noted Mr. Caulfield's explanation and directed that a sample be taken from Kurzke.
