An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Weekend Binge engaged in this event on 26th October, 2016 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Are You upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Bear's Gold was quick to begin. Matt Machine was slow to begin. Quotation Mark, Allen Gable and Zipping Arnold collided approaching the first turn, checking Allen Gable. Are You, Weekend Binge, Quotation Mark, Zipping Arnold and Kilty Express collided on the first turn, checking Allen Gable and Zipping Arnold and severely checking Matt Machine and Quotation Mark, causing Are You and Weekend Binge to fall.
Samples were taken from Bear's Gold (1st) and Kilty Express (2nd).
Are You was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left eyelid, spike wounds to the left hock and left elbow and an injured right shoulder, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
